Maja Backović comes from Serbia. At the age of seven, she received her first violin lessons at the School for Gifted Children.
After secondary music school, she studied at the Belgrade Music Academy and later at Mozarteum University Salzburg. Numerous national and international competition successes, both as a soloist and chamber musician, as well as solo concerts, document her artistic work.
She has worked with the Jeunesse Moving Orchestra, Salzburg Chamber Soloists, Salzburg Philharmonic, Salzburg’s baroque orchestra Kontra.punkt and Solamente Naturali Bratislava.
Maja also works with music for theatre and contemporary dance.
She enriches Ostbeatbend with the full emotional range of her instrument, her moving voice and her positive energy.
